日本郵便より、2025年8月27日（水）から米国宛て郵便物の一時引受停止が発表されました。

Japan Post has announced that it will temporarily suspend the acceptance of mail addressed to the United States starting Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
引き受け停止対象となる内容品
Items that will be suspended from acceptance
・消費を目的とした販売品 - Products for sale for consumption
・個人間の贈答品で、内容品価格が100米ドルを超えるもの - Gifts between individuals with a value of over $100
個人間の贈答品で内容品価格が100米ドル以下のものについては、郵便局にて引き受けを継続するようですが、
これにより、これまで800米ドル以下のお荷物に対して免税措置が適用されておりましたが、今後はその価格に関わらず、すべての貨物が関税の対象となる見込みです。
It seems that post offices will continue to accept gifts between individuals with contents valued at less than US$100.
However, while tax exemptions were previously available for packages valued at less than US$800, going forward, all shipments will likely be subject to customs duties, regardless of price.
そのため関税の支払い等が発生することから、一時的に弊社での出荷を停止させていただきます。
Therefore, we will temporarily suspend shipping due to the need to pay customs duties, etc.
詳細がわかり、対応可能な場合は停止を解除いたします。
Once we have more information and are able to respond, we will lift the suspension.
